What Now

Effective date: August 11, 2026 · Last updated: August 11, 2026

What Now is a ministry of Grace Fellowship Church (“Grace Fellowship,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information the What Now website and mobile app (together, the “Service”) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We built What Now to help people take their first steps in following Jesus. We are not in the business of collecting or selling personal data, and we collect as little as we reasonably can.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

Account information (optional). You can use What Now without creating an account. If you choose to create one — so your progress is saved and you can pick up where you left off — we collect your name and email address, and a password if you sign up that way. If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider; we never receive your password.

Messages you send us. If you use a contact or prayer request form, we collect the information you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.

Progress information. If you have an account, we store which stages and episodes you have viewed or marked complete, so the Service can show you where you left off.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, including:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- General location inferred from IP address (city or region level — not precise GPS)
- Pages and episodes viewed, time spent, and links tapped
- Dates and times of access
- Crash and error reports

We use this to understand which content is helpful, to fix problems, and to improve the Service. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Information from embedded video

Some episodes use video players hosted by third parties. When a video loads, that provider may set cookies or similar technologies and collect information about your viewing, subject to their privacy policy rather than ours. We do not control what those providers collect.

What we do not collect

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, health data, or financial account information. We do not process payments through the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:
- Provide the Service and save your progress
- Create and maintain your account, if you have one
- Respond to your questions, prayer requests, and messages
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it
- Diagnose technical problems and maintain security
- Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only in these situations:

Service providers. We use third-party companies to host and operate the Service, host video content, and provide analytics. They may access your information only as needed to perform work for us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Pastoral care. If you send a prayer request or contact message, it is read by pastoral staff or ministry volunteers at Grace Fellowship so they can respond to you.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.

Business or organizational transfers. If the What Now ministry is transferred to or merged with another organization, information may be transferred as part of that change. We will notify you if that materially affects how your information is handled.

4. Your Choices and Rights

Use without an account. An account is entirely optional. You can view all content without one.

Access and correction. You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.

Deleting your account and data. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, under Settings. Deleting your account removes your account information and saved progress from our active systems. You may also request deletion by emailing ashinn@graceathens.com with the subject line “Delete My Account.” We will complete the request within 30 days and confirm by email.

Prayer requests and messages. You may ask us to delete a message you sent us by emailing us at the address below.

Analytics. You can limit analytics collection through your device settings — on iOS, Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements; on Android, Settings → Google → Ads.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including, for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share), and for residents of the EU or UK under the GDPR, the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in Section 8. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We recognize that families may use What Now together. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or send us a message without a parent or guardian's involvement.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at ashinn@graceathens.com and we will remove it.

6. Data Retention and Security

We keep account information for as long as your account is active, and delete it after you close your account. We keep contact and prayer request messages for as long as needed to respond and provide pastoral follow-up. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or de-identified form.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is operated in the United States. If you use it from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will provide more prominent notice — for example, a notice within the app or an email to registered users. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.

8. Contact Us

Questions about this policy, or want to exercise any of your rights? We’d genuinely like to hear from you.
